Atlas 40004522 N Scale Union Pacific GP-20 #481 (DCC/Sound)

Atlas Master Gold N scale EMD GP-20 in Union Pacific Armour Yellow with a Harbor Mist Gray roof and frame, red striping and red lettering, carrying road number 481 and the UP shield on the nose. Gold means the ESU LokSound decoder is already fitted, so sound and DCC operation need no further work.

Union Pacific took thirty GP20s in July and August 1960, delivered as UP 700-729. They were renumbered into the 470-499 series over the winter of 1962-63 to free the 700s for the incoming GP30 fleet - which is how #481 came to exist. The class was retired between 1977 and 1984.
