Atlas Master Silver N scale Baldwin VO-1000 end-cab switcher, road number 409, in the transition-era scheme Atlas titles "BN (Northern Pacific Patch)." The locomotive still wears full Northern Pacific black and yellow - NP outline lettering, the monad herald on the cab and a RADIO EQUIPPED panel - with a small BN patch stenciled under the cab number. This is not Cascade Green.

Baldwin built 548 VO-1000s between December 1939 and July 1946, using a six-cylinder De La Vergne engine and Westinghouse electricals to make 1,000 hp behind a wide end cab. Northern Pacific was a repeat buyer, and the survivors passed to Burlington Northern at the March 1970 merger, running for several more years in NP paint with nothing but a patch to mark the change.
