Bachmann 13001 HO Scale Amtrak 85' Budd Full Dome Phase VI #10031

This HO scale Silver Series model recreates Amtrak's full-length Budd dome car #10031, better known as "Ocean View", in the Phase VI paint it carried between 2005 and 2011. The prototype was one of six "Great Domes" Budd delivered to the Great Northern Railway in 1955, offering upper-level panoramic seating above a lower-level lounge, and it stayed in Amtrak excursion and special-train service until 2019. The model has a fully furnished, lighted interior visible through transparent tinted windows, separately applied plastic diaphragms and precision-printed Amtrak graphics. It rides on detailed trucks with see-through sideframes and blackened metal wheels with RP25 contours, and is fitted with kinematic magnetically operated E-Z Mate Mark II knuckle couplers. The car measures 12.25" long and performs best on 22" radius curves or greater.
