This N scale military flat car pairs a 52' center-depressed heavy-capacity flat car lettered DODX 30371 with an M551 Sheridan armored reconnaissance vehicle riding as its load, both finished in green camouflage. Center-depressed flat cars like this one drop the deck between the trucks so tall or oversized loads clear bridges and tunnels, and the prototypes ride on three-axle trucks to spread the extra weight. Bachmann models that arrangement with prototypical six-wheel trucks at each end and a fully detailed, separately moulded Sheridan complete with turret, main gun and running gear.
