Broadway Limited Imports brings the Norfolk Southern D&H Heritage SD70ACe to N scale with the Paragon4 Sound & Control System. NS 1080 wears the Delaware & Hudson tribute livery applied in 2012, one of twenty heritage units Norfolk Southern painted to honor the railroads that built the modern system. The prototype SD70ACe was EMD's successor to the SD70MAC, built from 2004 to 2014 around the 16-710G3C-T2 prime mover rated at 4,300 horsepower. This model pairs an ABS body with a die-cast chassis for maximum tractive effort and rides on an all-wheel-pickup precision drive engineered for heavy towing and smooth slow-speed running. Paragon4 adds Rolling Thunder, an integral dual-mode decoder with Back EMF that runs on DC or DCC out of the box, prototypical light operation and authentic EMD diesel sound. Separately applied handrails, grab irons and bell finish the model. Microtrains-compatible couplers (2); Code 55, 70 and 80 rail; minimum radius 9 inches.
