This is the Stealth Series version - factory painted and assembled, DCC-ready and without sound, so it runs on DC out of the box and takes the decoder of your choice.

Union Pacific unveiled The Spirit at San Antonio, Texas on 19 October 2017 as a tribute to the United States armed forces, designed with help from UP's own veteran employees. The number honours a B-17 Flying Fortress christened Spirit of the Union Pacific in 1943 and paid for by employee war bonds; the rear of the locomotive carries the POW/MIA emblem.
