Amfleet I cars came from Amtrak's 1973 Budd order and remain the backbone of Northeast Corridor and state-corridor service; the direct Phase III counterpart of this set is Kato 106-8020. The set ships unlighted - the factory-lit version is 106-8021-1. One thing to check against the box: Kato's own product text prints the fourth coach as #82899 while its category page and image filename both say #82999, and we have followed the image. Kato publishes no barcode and no weight, so the weight is our estimate and the country of manufacture is inferred.
