About This Item

Every railroad needs an overhead crane to lift heavy objects from railcars to trucks for final delivery, handling quarry stone, pre-cast concrete, steel coils, rails, large crates or anything that will not roll off a flatcar or gondola. This gantry crane is modeled from an actual prototype erected in the 1930s that still stands today. This all-new version has been redesigned and re-tooled so all the structure parts are cast lead-free white metal.
