Developed in adherence to the "Einheits Program" before WWII, the Horch 1a was capable of transporting 8 crew and had a V8 engine outputting 80hp, a range of 400km, an oversized radiator for extreme climates, and a 120-liter fuel tank split around the prop shaft. About 2,900 were made between 1937-1940 and it was widely used early in WWII.
