About This Item
HMS King George V was launched in 1939 and entered service in 1940. She covered the Lofoten raid and Atlantic convoys before becoming flagship of the British Home Fleet, and in May 1941 she led the chase of the German Bismarck. Through the war she took part in numerous Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Pacific operations, including the Okinawa campaign. This Waterline Series kit faithfully reproduces the lead ship of her class.
