This 1:72 scale model of the Fairey Swordfish Mk.I 'Stringbag' commemorates the legendary Fleet Air Arm torpedo bomber. Airfix has faithfully recreated the aircraft that fought through the Second World War, including the heroic Channel Dash attack of February 1942.
Lieutenant Commander Esmonde won a posthumous Victoria Cross during that doomed but heroic action.
