Kato 1372026DCC N Scale Amtrak GG1 Phase I #926 (DCC)

Kato N scale GG1 electric locomotive in Amtrak Phase I paint, road number 926, supplied with a DCC decoder installed at the factory. The -DCC suffix is a genuine Kato variant: item 137-2026 is the standard DC model, 137-2026-DCC is this one.

The GG1 was designed in the 1920s, built in the 1930s, rated at 4,600 hp, and was not retired until the 1980s, serving the Pennsylvania Railroad and then Penn Central, Conrail and Amtrak on the Northeast Corridor until AEM-7s displaced it. The real #926 is preserved at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. Note that Kato's companion release 137-2025 is a different locomotive, #906.
