The Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac was the bridge line between Richmond and Washington, D.C., and stayed independent until CSX absorbed it in 1991. Between the late 1960s and the early 1970s a number of railroads promoted the U.S. Savings Bonds program by turning box cars into rolling billboards for it, and Bachmann's five-scheme series recreates that run of cars. Bachmann publishes no weight for these cars, so the figure shown is an estimated shipping weight, and country of manufacture is not stated and is listed as China by convention.
