Bachmann HO scale 50 foot sliding door box car from the US Saving Bonds series, lettered for Northern Pacific #31432. This is the boldest scheme of the five - the car is painted in red, white and blue diagonal bands with Share in Freedom lettering, a Stars and Stripes map emblem and the Northern Pacific Railway monad herald on the right-hand panel. No roofwalk.

Northern Pacific was the first of the northern transcontinentals, chartered in 1864 and completed in 1883. It merged into Burlington Northern on 2 March 1970, which puts a tight late-1960s date on this scheme. Between the late 1960s and the early 1970s a number of railroads promoted the U.S. Savings Bonds program by turning box cars into rolling billboards for it, and Bachmann's five-scheme series recreates that run of cars.
